Is your GC injector telling the truth? SAMSI Tuner compares your GC results with the theoretical FID response of your standard and shows at once whether the injector discriminates. No worksheets and no formulas to maintain.
SAMSI Tuner will be released at our course in February 2027 and comes in two editions: a FAME edition for fatty acid methyl esters and a FAEE edition for fatty acid ethyl esters, such as omega-3 EPA/DHA concentrates.
What SAMSI Tuner does
- Area% indicator: calculates the expected area% from each ester’s active carbon, the part of the molecule the FID responds to, and checks every component against a ±5 % window with a clear OK, Low or High
- Response factor indicator: compares empirical response factors from COMPASS (multiplier) or Ph. Eur. (divisor) with theory, using your internal standard, for example C23:0
- Nu-Chek Prep library (FAME edition): type a code such as GLC-63A and the weight-% composition fills in, with over 140 methyl ester reference standards
- Ethyl or methyl ester internal standard (FAEE edition), with the composition entered from your standard’s certificate
- Import GC results straight from an Excel or CSV report, matched by peak name
- Export to Excel with live formulas for your records
- Windows desktop app with a SAMSI icon on the desktop. No administrator rights needed, and it works offline
